Twas the night before fireworks...
And all through the house
Not a creature was sleeping
Not even a mouse.
I have never understood why people are willing to spend insane amounts of money on gunpowder-filled cardboard tubes and then waste it all the day BEFORE a holiday.
Crazy!
Anyway... I realize it's been a while since I updated this. Honestly, I have been blogging fairly regular. I just haven't felt like sharing.
Things are going well so far. We absolutely love the new church and could not be happier. The tensions with the old church are still there and hopefully will lessen as time goes on. At least some of our old friends are speaking to us again and understand our reasons for leaving. It honestly had nothing to do with the church itself. We just had to do what God was telling us to do for our kids. Bottom line, end of discussion.
In other news... I am officially a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant! Woot!
Bet you didn't see that one coming, did ya?
Go to www.marykay.com/LLPatterson and check out my website. Let me know if you're interested in having a free skin care consultation. I am totally NOT a salesperson/pushy type, so don't even think that I'm going to try to beat a catalog over your head to get you to buy something you don't need. I did this for the fun of it, for the girly time that I never get otherwise, and I am having a blast doing it. If you have time, I'd love to share the fun with you... no obligation to buy anything at all. Seriously. You can try anything you want and not buy a thing and I won't be upset. Don't believe me? Go ahead, test me and see.
I will say one thing. I have never been a person to use "fancy" products of any kind. I have spent money on things that were supposed to help my skin and they always ended up making it worse or causing some bad reaction. Tons of money down the drain. And I went years without wearing makeup because I never could figure out which things were best for my skin, especially what colors to choose. I have been using the Mary Kay products exclusively for almost 2 months now and my skin has never looked better. I seriously only washed my face with water before this because everything else bothered my skin. I bought some eye makeup remover in April, I think ClearSkin or something, and could not keep using it. It has something in it that burns my eyes, which is bizarre because it says that it is safe for contact lens wearers. Well, apparently it is only for those contact lens wearers who do not sleep in thier contacts for a week at a time. Money wasted. The Mary Kay eye makeup remover is just AWESOME. Not only does it not burn my eyes, but it takes off my mascara super fast! I am using less product and it is doing more than the other stuff ever did.
I will get off of my soap box for now, but be prepared for more testimonials from me. I have been pretty laid back with this business thing so far, but that won't last for long. I'm getting deeper in each day and loving every minute of it. Maybe you would, too. Check out my website above for more info if you are. :)
